Part 1: Fees at a Glance
1.1 Summary of charges
Tuition fees: as published on thesproutschool.com or in your written quotation, and confirmed in your enrolment confirmation.
Registration fee: £100 per student, one-off, for all services except the Exam Booking Concierge. Refundable within the 14-day cooling-off period; non-refundable after that.
Deposit: £200 for full-time and part-time programmes. Refundable when the student leaves with the correct notice and no fees are outstanding.
Administration fee: £100 where a fixed-length or one-off course is cancelled more than 14 days before it starts.
Exam Booking Concierge fee: [£X per candidate per exam series]. Exam entry fees are set by the exam centre and collected by us as your agent.
1.2 Billing options
Full-time and part-time programmes: termly, monthly or annually in advance.
Other services (e.g. 1:1 tutoring, exam prep and resit courses): monthly or as a one-off payment in advance.
All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.
1.3 Key notice periods
Full-time and part-time programmes: 30 days' written notice to withdraw.
Monthly services: cancel before the next billing date.
1:1 lessons: 24 hours' notice to reschedule.
Overdue payments: access may be suspended after 14 days, following written notice.
If we end a place for non-disciplinary reasons: at least one term's notice.
Part 2: Sales Terms
2.1 How you buy
A contract is formed when we send written confirmation of enrolment after receiving your completed application and payment of the registration fee (and deposit, where applicable). Before you buy we give you clear information about the service, the total price, how to pay and your cancellation rights.
2.2 Prices and fee changes
We review fees annually. We will give at least one term's written notice of any increase. If you do not accept an increase, you may withdraw before it takes effect without paying fees for the notice period.
2.3 Discounts and offers
Any discount (for example for siblings or early payment) is at our discretion, confirmed in writing, and cannot be combined with other offers unless stated.
2.4 Payment
Payments are taken by the methods shown on your invoice. Payments must come from an account you are entitled to use. We do not store full card details; payments are processed by our payment provider.
Part 3: Refund & Cancellation Policy
3.1 Scope
This policy applies to all consumer purchases from The Sprout School Ltd and should be read with our Terms & Conditions. It does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 or the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
3.2 Statutory 14-day cooling-off period
You may cancel within 14 days of the date your contract is formed, for any reason, by emailing info@thesproutschool.com. You may use the model cancellation form at the end of this policy but do not have to.
If you ask us to start lessons within the 14 days and then cancel, we will refund what you paid minus a proportionate amount for lessons already provided.
Digital resources: if you expressly agree to immediate access and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel, the cooling-off right ends for that digital content once access begins.
Refunds are made within 14 days of your cancellation, to the original payment method.
3.3 Withdrawal after the cooling-off period
Live Online School (full-time and part-time): 30 days' written notice. Fees are charged to the end of the notice period; any fees paid beyond that are refunded.
Monthly services (e.g. 1:1 tutoring subscriptions): cancel before the next billing date; no further payments are taken. Part months are not refunded.
Fixed-length or one-off courses (e.g. exam prep and resit courses): cancellation more than 14 days before the start date = full refund less a £100 administration fee, which reflects our reasonable costs of booking, scheduling and administration; within 14 days of the start or after it starts = refund for sessions not yet delivered, less the cost of any materials already supplied.
Registration fee (£100, all services except the Exam Booking Concierge): refunded in full if you cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period; non-refundable after that, as it reflects our reasonable costs of placement assessment, onboarding, account set-up and administration already incurred.
Deposit (£200, full-time and part-time programmes): refundable. It is returned, or credited against the final invoice, when the student leaves with the correct notice and no fees are outstanding. It may be applied towards unpaid fees or fees in lieu of notice.
3.4 Missed and rescheduled lessons
1:1 lessons: at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule. Lessons cancelled with less notice, or missed without notice, are charged and not rescheduled.
Group lessons: missed group lessons are not refunded; recordings are provided where available.
If we cancel a lesson, we will reschedule it, provide an equivalent lesson or refund it.
3.5 When we will always refund
If we fail to deliver a service as described, or it is not performed with reasonable care and skill, you are entitled to a repeat performance or, if that is not possible, a price reduction or refund.
If we permanently close a course or cannot deliver it, you receive a refund for any unused portion.
3.6 Non-refundable items
Exam entry fees collected by us as your agent and passed to a centre, except where the centre refunds them to us.
The registration fee after the cooling-off period.
Fees for the notice period where a place is ended because of a serious breach of the Code of Conduct.
3.7 How to request a refund
Email info@thesproutschool.com with the student's name, service and reason. We will acknowledge within 3 working days and pay any refund due within 14 days of agreement. Chargebacks raised before contacting us may delay resolution.
